Her daughters, Jacqie and Chiquis, along with Johnny, quickly addressed the unfortunate incident.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame’s social media confirmed that the star had been damaged, expressing gratitude to fans who attempted to clean it and reported the act. “Please note, there are cameras everywhere, and a police report has been filed,” the statement added.

Jacqie Rivera spoke out about the vandalism of her mother Jenni Rivera’s star in her stories. She expressed anger over the incident and shared that a fan from Texas had sent her photos and videos. “Other fans started cleaning the stars because it wasn’t just my mom’s, but also Selena’s,” she said.
In the video, Jacqie admitted she felt like crying over what had happened, adding, “It’s beautiful, they love her so much and take it as their own.” She thanked the fans who cleaned both stars, saying, “It hurts them that she’s shining, not just my mom, but all the women.”
Chiquis Rivera also shared a heartfelt message on the Hollywood Walk of Fame’s social media. “I can’t handle this. Thanks to my mom’s fans who helped clean it,” she wrote, condemning those responsible and saying they should be ashamed.
Meanwhile, Johnny posted several crying, angry, and sad face emojis on his Instagram, adding, “They can’t stop her shine.”
